Velddrif is located in the West Coast region of the Western Cape, South Africa.
The meandering Berg River reflects the tranquillity of this fishing village. Velddrif's lovely beaches form part of the West Coast whale route. A deep water marina and excellent sailing conditions in St Helena Bay is an added attraction for sailors.

The Rocher Pans is a nature reserve and bird sanctuary just north of the town. In the cooler months of the year it is a haven for the greater flamingos. Also home to the red-knobbed coot and fluffy bishop birds - bird watching is only one of the many activities to do in this area.
Dwarskersbos, a few kilometres North of Velddrif, is a popular holiday destination. Activities here include boat trips up the river, sailing, hiking and whale watching.
