Originally built by German Trappist Monks in 1891, the ancient red brick buildings have been restored and converted into an enchanting country guesthouse with Bed & Breakfast as well as self-catering accommodation.
Kings Grant Accommodation
The original living quarters of the monks and nuns have been stylishly restored and converted into eleven comfortable individually decorated B & B guest rooms, plus three fully equipped self-catering suites, accommodating 26 – 30 guests.
All guest rooms have DSTV Bouquet TV, tea trays, heaters/fans. electric blankets and private patio’s that open onto gardens where guests are invited to relax, unwind and catch a glimpse of the past. Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.
St Isidore’s Restaurant
An intimate 35-seater restaurant set in what was once the old red brick dairy. We’re open for breakfasts, teas, lunches and dinner. Enjoy our A- la-Carte menu that features many of the ‘favourites,’ and a “Specials Menu” that changes daily.
The restaurant adjoins a Tuscan style courtyard, the perfect place for a glass of wine and a Mezze platter or snack basket to share with your friends and family. To the other side, the restaurant overlooks the sweeping indigenous gardens, landscaped with aloes and other succulents that burst with colour and with a gentle stream that runs through it.
We also cater for all your company functions, weddings, family reunions, birthdays and conferences. It’s more than just a regular restaurant experience. It’s a restaurant surrounded by old warm charm, history, grapevines and cobbled walkways. It’s a place to explore as well as to eat at!

Our Conference Centre is housed in the historic St. Isidor Mill and includes one breakaway room plus a stylish lounge where delegates meet for teas.
