We offer three chalets, set on a hillside overlooking valleys near De Rust where 10 species of game roam freely. You are surrounded by the famous Enon red hills and you look directly onto the magnificent Swartberg Mountains...
Each of the chalets has a private deck with armchairs and cushions, each decorated in a different animal theme.
This is a secret place of magnificent views, glorious sunsets, star filled nights without a single city light to distract you, wonderful encounters with wildlife, fabulous food and long nights around the blazing fire...
Zwartberg View Mountain Lodge Accommodation
B&B Chalets
Our 3 chalets is individually themed and each offer superb views with a high degree of privacy.
Each chalet is furnished with a King-size bed (or twin beds). There is a tea / coffee station, en-suite bathroom with shower, mini fridge with bottled water. Air-cons in all the chalets as well as panel heaters for winter. Bedding, towels and hair dryers are provided.
The Chalets are set 300 metres from the main lodge buildings where we eat dinner and breakfast and where we light our nightly fire – this is where we encourage all our wild animals to come close to our guests which makes every evening a really special occasion. The perfect Honeymoon hideaway....
The Chalets are directly linked to our two walking trails which take you right into the hills and valleys and back to your chalet.
Self Catering cottages
Zebra Cottage is tucked away in the river bed. It has its own fireplace and you are completely secluded from the main lodge and other Chalets - but may of course join the other guests for breakfast or dinner, as you wish. The Cottage consists of double bed, sofa sleeper couch, kitchenette, en-suite shower room, porch to enjoy nature and its own bush braai. The kitchen is equipped with Mini fridge, Microwave, Mini stove & oven. This is a perfect honeymoon hideaway!
Kudu Chalet offers complete privacy. The Cottage consists of 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, 2 king size beds (or 4 twin beds), kitchenette, en-suite shower room, porch to enjoy nature and its own bush braai (BBQ). Large open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area with indoor and outdoor BBQ area and fully equipped kitchen.
Free Wifi is available at the main lodge.
Dining at Zwarberg View Mountain Lodge
Breakfast and dinner can be enjoyed at our on site restaurant at the main lodge. This is where we light our nightly fire and encourage all our wild animals to come close to our guests which makes every evening a really special occasion.
Please note that our dinners are a set menu, usually served around 7pm and we also encourage our guests to interact with each other. We serve homely cooked 3 course meals, all our meat comes off the fire, we do cater for vegetarians and vegans but please inform us before the time.
Activities at Zwartberg View Mountain Lodge
On the farm there are a few relaxing activities, swimming, hiking, reading on your deck, watching the animals, and enjoying the scenery.
There is a choice of three of the most wonderful walking trails imaginable that take in every aspect of the world’s recognised floral kingdoms. Of course there is always a chance of an encounter with a Hartebeest bursting from cover, Zebra on a hillside, or coming across one of five Tortoise species found in this region! At sunset, magic happens!!!
