The original old sheepshed on the farm which is now the Clarens Golf Estate, Clarens Country House Guesthouse is blessed by being the model to which the rest of the estate aspires. Sandstone walls insulate and provide shelter from the cares of the world, and our accommodation is is spacious and luxurious.
We do not have rooms, but Suites, all of them having separate bedrooms and lounge/kitchen areas, and their own private veranda sunrooms.
The tree-filled garden is spacious and includes a braai area where you can relax and enjoy the peace of the mountains in your home in Clarens.

The Clarens Country House is a 5-minute walk from the village square, which offers some of the best shopping, restaurants and art galleries in the country, as well as a host of activities from white water rafting to horse-riding and quad biking.

The Clarens Country House guests are invited to play golf on The Clarens Country House homeowner’s card at a much reduced rate.
Adventure
White water rafting, abseiling, archery, zipline and quad biking. You can do it all in Clarens with Clarens Xtreme. The Clarens Country House can also arrange discounted rates for groups staying with us during the week.
Hiking
We highly recommend hiking in The Clarens Village Conservancy. There are trails to suit everyone, and maps (which include fishing and hiking permits) are available from The Clarens Country House reception.
