Schaftplaas Venue offers complete function and event facilities that can cater for up to 200 guests! The farm also boasts five luxurious self-catering cottages that offer overnight accommodation to 16 guests in total.
The carefully curated function venue and cottages ideally captures the spirit of a bygone era and creates the distinctive character of this typical West Coast farm.
Visitors to Schaftplaas will be delighted to discover the most beautiful antique furniture and artifacts placed in the different venues each with an interesting piece of history attached!
Weddings & Events at Schaftplaas
The setting is partially outdoors. We pitch a Bedouin-type tent to connect the buildings, which provides a huge covered area that includes an ample dance area, a cash bar facility and a lounge area, from where we also do the catering.
The venue can accommodate 50 to 200 guests with ease. The decor is beautifully complemented by rustic floors and a huge fireplace, while blinds roll up to create a stunning, lowveld lapa feel. Your guests can enjoy champagne and exquisite canapés on the lawn whilst the sun sets over the West Coast.

Accommodation at Schaftplaas
Cottages
Equipped for comfort and luxury, the old worldly and unique character of each cottage will simply steal your heart. Apart from its comfortable beds, each cottage has a fully equipped kitchenette, including a gas stove and microwave oven, a cozy lounge area and an undercover patio with a table and chairs.
Linen, towels and basic amenities are provided. The cottages share a communal braai area (BBQ facilities) and garden, as well as separate braai drums and braai area’s available.
Glamping & Camping
Schaftplaas is a private family owned farm with a camping site which provides the perfect affordable family holiday at any time of the year.
Our glamping canvas tents furnished with beds, a bedside table and light. You just bring your own bedding.
Schaftplaas offers the ideal opportunity for a refreshing early morning jog, a brisk hike through the veld and a safe playground for your kids on their bicycles.
Neat, clean bathrooms with hot showers and flushing toilets. Braai drums available.
