Mary-Louise has been an Art Teacher for over 20 years as well as an award winning professional Artist and is registered with the ASCHP as a Specialist Wellness Counsellor.
I run retreats in McGregor mostly from Temenos but I also offer other art workshops and classes to people in and around the village.
My retreats are for beginners or professional artists - it's less about the art than the experience. The experience does not only involve and is not just about the materials as much as it is about you discovering yourself, In the process of creating.
If you’re creating with a partner then the learning will be about yourself and each other. Art is a very healing medium which taps into our inner beings enabling us to learn about interesting areas in our individual subconscious,so valuable in relationships ,either with ourselves or with others.

I also offer a lovely self catering cottage- Stonehill Cottage in McGregor. This luxury stay includes an art workshop free of charge and a guided walk to artists studios around the village.

Stonehill Cottage Accommodation in McGregor
Stonehill Cottage offers self-catering accommodation in McGregor in the beautiful Cape Winelands. The cottage is conveniently located close to mountain biking routes and the Krans Nature Reserve. The area also has a selection of restaurants, wine farms and art workshops.
This charming cottage can accommodate 2 guests and comprises 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a kitchen and a living area. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed and features an en-suite bathroom furnished with a shower, toilet and wash basin.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, 2-plate stove, microwave, toaster, basic cutlery and crockery, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities.
The living area has a small dining table where guests can enjoy their meals together. Free Wi-Fi is available for guests’ entertainment, and the glass doors lead out to a private patio with outdoor furniture with braai facilities.
