Situated near Dullstroom, we are on the premier tourist route between Johannesburg and Pretoria and the attractions on the eastern escarpment and the lowveld regions of Mpumalanga.

Accommodation at Valley of the Rainbow

COUNTRY HOUSE

The Country House with classic country style décor consists of five luxurious double bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom and access to the veranda with a magnificent view over the valley, indigenous forest and mountains. With an open plan lounge, dining room and TV room and fully equipped kitchen, the Country Guest House is self-catering and is ideally suited for families, friends and corporate groups up to 10 persons. While this accommodation is self-catering, guests are more than welcome to take meals in the Manor House's restaurant which has a superb menu.

MANOR HOUSE

The Manor House offers guests a choice of five rooms, two luxury rooms, two classic rooms and a standard room each with an en-suite bathroom. The Manor Guest House's spacious lounge with an open fire-place for cold winter evenings, bar, dining room with fireplace, library and TV invites guests to more than home luxuries while the spacious deck overlooks a river running through the valley, gardens, forests, mountains and lakes.

With its artistic and stylish decor, the dining room of the Manor House creates the perfect social atmosphere for hearty meals to be enjoyed. The restaurant offers a superb menu, incorporating South African Cuisine with international standards and presentation.

TENTED CHALETS

The Tented Chalet accommodation provide our more adventurous guests with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the nature receiver and all its nature, in plush and luxurious tent accommodation. Each tented chalet is fitted with an en-suite bathroom, kitchenette and seating deck with stunning views of the mountains, lake and valley. The tented chalets offer all the benefits of camping in the outdoors with the added bit of comfort and luxury – it's glamping at its best! While this accommodation is self-catering, guests are more than welcome to take meals in the Manor House's restaurant which has a superb menu.

LUXURY NATURE CABINS

Our Luxury Nature Cabins is an experience close to nature. The cabins are hidden within a valley on the edge of a mountain stream.The private one-bedroom cabins accommodates two persons with a king size bed, an en-suite bathroom fitted with a lovely tub and shower and a separate private toilet. The kitchen area includes a bar fridge, microwave, cutlery and crockery for two. The closed combustion wood fireplace in the lounge area of the cabin creates a cosy and intimate atmosphere perfect for couples while the covered front deck overlooking forest and river is fitted with a dining table, deck chairs and gas braai to enjoy the outdoors. While the Luxury Nature Cabins are set up for self-catering, meals can be taken at the restaurant on the property in the Manor House.

THE MILL

The picturesque watermill which was built in the 19th century has been renovated into 2 separate accommodation rooms with incredible views of the dams, mountains and forests of Valley of the Rainbow estate. The newly renovated Mill, opens to a social bar and lounge area fitted with a bar fridge, stocked wine cooler and DSTV. The fireplace on the lower floor offers guests to relax and to warm up in winter. On the mezzanine level, the luxury Mill is equipped with a plush double bed and bathroom. This upper level sleeping area offers unique views of the dams. On the lower level there is a full bathroom with a double shower.

MILL ROOM

The Mill room adjacent to the Mill, is spacious with plush king size bed, a lounge area with a TV and DSTV connection, stocked wine cooler, bar fridge and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. The fireplace offers guests to relax during the cold winter nights.  The open plan design of the room leads to a veranda overlooking the river. All rooms have coffee/tea making facilities.

Activities at Valley of the Rainbow

Guests can participate in organised outdoor activities, including fly-fishing the river and lakes for the elusive rainbow and brown trout. Non-fishing guests will appreciate the tranquillity and natural beauty of the setting. The mountains invite guests to go wandering along the walking trails on which one can expect to find a variety of small game including Grey duiker, Steenbuck, Grey reebok and vervet monkey, over 200 species of birds, and an abundance of wild flowers and plants.
