OppiePlaas Haga Haga boasts a setting that could best be described as in equilibrium with nature, the first thing that strikes you upon arrival is the genuineness and sincere hospitality of Niel and Erna Taljaard, owners of this working coastal farm. Surrounded by lush and green hills, OppiePlaas forms the perfect backdrop to your special function. You might even be mesmerized by a lone fish eagle soaring in the distance as if keeping watch over your special day...
Numerous special events, such as the Haga Fest, various musical concerts, cycling and running events, theme evenings, wine tastings and many others, have been hosted at the venue. A large entertainment area was recently added which has since become a very popular wedding venue.

We specialise in weddings, corporate functions and special events. We can accommodate up to 150 guests. At the same time we’re abundantly homely to ensure affinity and intimacy in what we offer. A family owned and managed business where we combine tried and trusted old school personal service with traditional values. Affordable and outstanding value for money.

OppieStoep function venue and dance floor which can accommodate up to 150 guests
The flexibility to create even more room by adding on a Bedouin tent
Tables and chairs, cutlery, crockery, glasses, white linen table cloths and serviettes
Optional: venue draping
A stand-alone garden cottage for VIP accommodation or a tranquil honeymoon suite where the bride can prepare in privacy on her big day and where the couple can stay after the festivities. We also offer bed & breakfast accommodation

Some say that they come for the signature steaks and the finest home-cooked meals. City and town folk claim that they come to enjoy the tranquility of the farm and its surroundings. Our restaurant is a place where one can still enjoy a real meal with hints of grandma’s home cooking, where friends meet to strengthen existing friendships and where strangers soon become friends.
Choose from our comprehensive a la carte menu and enjoy nourishing meals prepared with the farm’s own free-range, hormone free and carefully matured meat cuts and fresh farm produce. Enjoy dishes ranging from flame grilled A-grade matured steaks, pork spare ribs basted in our secret sauce, tender Mtwentwe lamb chops, freshly prepared wood fired pizzas, home-made hamburgers, seafood dishes and many other traditional delights prepared from family recipes that had been handed down from one generation to the next.
OppiePlaas Haga Haga is a safe haven for children who have the free run of our huge garden, enjoy playing on our jungle gym or bottle-feed hansie lambs.

Mondays – Saturdays: 10:30 until late (kitchen closes at 20:00)
Sundays:10:30 – 15:00 (kitchen closes at 14:00)
Closed on Christmas Eve and 26 December
Off-season - Closed (starting 5 January 2020)
Note: We’ll open with pleasure on any day for groups larger than 10 by prior arrangement.

Our self-catering standalone garden cottage which overlooks the farm pond, offers the following:

Camping
You can also pitch your own tent or park your caravan. Electricity available. Shared ablution facilities. We also rent out pre-pitched luxury tents.
