Kliphoek River Resort is situated on one of the oldest family farms on the West Coast and offers a distinctive charm. Here, on the banks of the Berg River near Velddrif, our guests are welcomed with genuine hospitality, coupled with modern comfort, ensuring an unforgettable holiday experience.
Kliphoek is only a short 1½ hour drive from Cape Town and is situated in the heart of a bird sanctuary with a vast variety of bird species, making it a bird lovers paradise. Relaxation is the keyword at Kliphoek and during the day, guests can undertake hikes along the river or in the veld, ski on the Berg River, swim and play tennis.
A West Coast sunset is an experience not to be missed and at the onset of spring the flower carpet is an unbelievable sight.

Kliphoek Cottages
We have 14 self-catering cottages located on the banks of the river. Our cottages are well equipped and truly our pride and joy. Cottages are fully equipped for a comfortable self catering holiday. Dstv with selected channels are available in each cottage as well as braai / BBQ areas.

Kliphoek Camping
We have created an exclusive camping site that will provide you and your family with lasting memories. Each camp site has its own ablution facilities on the site, that includes a toilet, shower, wash basin and an outside sink. This provides the guests with more privacy. Hot water is provided through the solar geyser. The camp sites are spacious and are fitted with a shade port(6m x 5.5m). Two outside electricity outlets and a portable braai makes for a great camping experience.
9 Camping Sites available. Maximum of 8 persons per site. December-January Holiday period, book a minimum of 7 nights.
We have created a nice spot at the river’s edge where the camping customers can enjoy all the splendours that the Berg River has to offer. We have a nice tennis court to be enjoyed for those who love the game.

Activities @ Kliphoek River Resort
Rent a canoe to explore the river and see all the wildlife it has to offer or go on a relaxing trip with your partner/friend/child. We have 5 double Indian Style Canoes. Each canoe comes with two paddles and life jackets if required.
Boating enthusiasts will enjoy our clear waterways and facilities such as easily accessible slipways and safe storing space for your boat.
Bring your Mountain bikes along and explore the farm or play a game of tennis on our tennis court or hike to the birding view points. We also have a play park for the children.
Kliphoek Rivieroord is the ideal family getaway with activities that will keep the whole family occupied.
