Die Kloof Padstal is a popular Restaurant and Farmstall in the town of Montagu on the famous Route 62. It is the first building on your left as you enter Montagu through Cogmanskloof.
Die Kloof Padstal is run by Christoff and Lana Prinsloo and is a favourite stopover for travellers on the Route 62 as well as the local community in Montagu.
Dining at Kloof Padstal
The restaurant is licensed and serves excellent quality and tasty food at really affordable prices, while the farmstall offers everything and anything that is made in Montagu.
The view over the Keisie River and the Bloupunt mountain top is lovely and makes the perfect setting for tired travellers to stretch their legs and recharge their batteries. There is a lovely play area for kids and is pet and wheelchair friendly.
Recommended and very popular dishes on the menu include: Savoury Pancakes; Peri-Peri Chicken Livers, Lamb curry with rice and salad, and Dutch Apple Tart (of course!). Breakfast is served all day and there are special Sunday lunches.
For the children there is not only a special kiddies menu. Mom and dad can relax while kids are playing nearby.
For animals there are always bowls of fresh water available.
Kloof Farmstall
The farmstall offers a variety of local produce, dried fruits, nuts and preserves. Beautiful handmade gifts and handbags as well as a selection of special "horsey" gifts and t-shirts are also available.
Hours - The Farmstall and Restaurant is open 7 days a week from 08:00 to 16:00 on Mondays to Sundays. (Closed only on Christmas and New Years day.)
